Tall Ships 2003 - 08/08/2003
Muskegon is having the annual Tall Ships festival this weekend. We're still not entirely clear what this means, but it does seem to be a big deal to all the locals and tourists. It appeared to be a waterfront festival / carnival with some tall ships that pulled into the harbor. They may have been clipper ships or something similar; it was difficult to tell because they were all clumped together, as if their masts were all magnetic and attracted to one another. We didn't stop because it was 10am on Friday as we drove past and it didn't seem to be up to speed yet.
Note to self: look up Tall Ships once I get an internet connection again.
Oh, speaking of this: I was navigating with the GPS and laptop as we drove around, and at one point my wireless thingy popped up and said it had found 2 connections. It seems we drove past a REMax Realty that had wireless in the office and some other place, but we passed it so quickly i didn't have time to connect. This indicates I might be able to steal wireless connections in the future if I keep my eyes open while driving.
We found Holland!
