Erin and I are making beer! It's exciting. I brewed it last Monday, about 36 hours ago. The fermentation really started taking off last night, we have lots of foamy bits floating on top and at least 1 airlock burble a second. We've got about 2 more weeks until bottling time, then 2 MORE weeks until drinking time. This is a hobby for the patient.

Speaking of patience -- ever tried to boil 3 gallons of water on a normal electric stove? It takes just shy of forever. We had to do it twice when preparing the beer, once for the extra water to clean it, and again for the wort. I really want a big 'ol fire-spewing gas monster stove.
