Hiking the natural bridge - 08/15/2003

Natural Bridge State Park has a natural bridge. This is a sandstone rock with a hole in it, so that it looks like a bridge. It doesn't cross anything interesting, but is a cool formation nonetheless. The hike up to it is relatively easy, but holy crap it was hot and humid and muggy during our hike.

Last night a huge thunderstorm passed over us. Erin and I donned our swimsuits and went to the creek behind the RV and skipped stones, during the deluge. We got soaked and frozen, but it was such a nice break after the hot day of driving. I really wish I knew why our A/C belt keeps squealing. Actually, I know why -- the A/C condensor pulley keeps "locking up" and the belt keeps right on moving over it -- I just want to fix it so we can have continuous cool air in the cab.
