Love bugs - 09/17/2003
I've never heard of these creatures. But we certainly discovered them while driving through Texas. They are large, black flying insects that kind of resemble a giant mosquito. They tend to just hover and not do much except have crazy insect sex ALL THE TIME. 90% of the lovebugs you'll see are paired end-to-end, and they do this while flying, landing, crawling, and even dying.
The pictures here represent about half the total number of love bugs that splattered on the RV. I didn't get any pictures later. Even so, it's disgusting... and every single car driving around us looked the same.
